This was an Advanced Typography assignment where we had to redesign an already existing company’s image and create bus sign ads (an interior panel, a bus stop poster, and a poster for the front of the bus) with the new look we came up with. It was also an exercise in using both Adobe Illustrator and Indesign for a project.

My teacher really liked the mascot I came up with, said they’d make great enamel pins. I also like them, I think the font and color palette look nice too. I feel like there is a lot of potential to work with, both in terms of touching up the originals and adding on to them by creating new works/ads featuring the characters.

Probably need to add actual text as oppossed to lorem ipsum for starters. I also want to make full body versions of the mascots. I feel like they’d lend themselves well to being rendered in 3D or being 3D printed into little figurines. Maybe designing a whole bus/subway featuring these characters would work too. Also there is the café itself, could design an interior or menu, lots to work with with this one.
